The catchment
Low relief catchment containing urban development of western Hereford. Some light industry but land use is mostly arable agriculture developed on Old Red Sandstone marls; extensively covered with glacial sands and gravel, which maintain baseflow in the Yazor Brk.
The station
Flat V weir, theoretically rated, replaced, in 1999, non-standard Flat V Crump (1:5 cross-slopes, 2.5m wide).
Flow regime
Zero flows experienced during summer months. Affected by industrial abstractions from groundwater, which can dominate flow pattern at low flows.
