Fishtoft is a village and suburb of Boston in Lincolnshire, England. Local government has been arranged in this way since the reorganization of 1 April 1974, which resulted from the Local Government Act 1972. This parish forms an electoral ward in itself. Hitherto, the parish had formed part of Boston Rural District, in the Parts of Holland. Holland was one of the three divisions of the traditional county of Lincolnshire. Since the Local Government Act 1888, Holland had been in most respects, a county in itself. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 6,835. Rising significantly to 7,156 at the 2021 Census. Fishtoft is also a civil parish.
Ordnance Survey places 29 postcodes in Fishtoft in the Environment Agency's rivers-and-sea flood-risk dataset (Risk of Flooding from Rivers and Sea). Each postcode is counted once, under the worst band any of its properties reaches; together they hold 506 properties in the EA dataset's likelihood bands.
| EA likelihood band | Postcodes (worst band) | Properties in the EA dataset | of which homes |
|---|---|---|---|
| High | 2 | 4 | 0 |
| Medium | 0 | 8 | 3 |
| Low | 27 | 494 | 394 |
| Very low | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| All bands | 29 | 506 | 397 |
This dataset covers flooding from rivers and the sea only — one of five flood sources. Surface water, groundwater, sewers and reservoirs are assessed separately, so a postcode missing from it is not proof that a place cannot flood. The band describes the land around properties (allowing for defences), not any single address and not today's conditions.

The nearest watercourse on the river map is Hobhole Drain, about 60 m from the middle of Fishtoft's gauges. It flows into the Haven about 100 m downstream.
A gauge downstream shows water that has already passed this point; one upstream sees it first. Distances along the river are from the point on Hobhole Drain nearest the middle of Fishtoft's gauges. From Ordnance Survey’s river map (OS Open Rivers), which leaves out small streams, ditches and culverts, so a nearer one may exist. This describes where water goes on the map; it says nothing about flooding at any address. Contains OS data © Crown copyright and database rights 2026.

No recorded flood outline is mapped around the Fishtoft town centre means no flood was mapped here, which is not evidence none happened: the Environment Agency mapped only some floods, mapping effort rose sharply after about 2000, and surface-water flooding is largely absent from this record. FloodRadar has separately logged 10 flood warnings or alerts for the Lincolnshire area since February 2026. See the flood history link below.
