A Flood Alert was issued for The Essex coast from St Peters Flat to and including Shoeburyness and the Crouch and Roach estuaries in Essex, Southend-on-Sea on 28th September 2026. Affected watercourses included the River Crouch, River Roach, North Sea.
Local monitoring gauges did not record a significant level change for this event, which may indicate a precautionary or rainfall-forecast-based alert.

High tides this afternoon may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible between 12:30pm and 2:30pm today, Monday 28th September. Tide levels will be high at Battlesbrigde, and Hullbridge riversides. Creeksea Ferry Road onto Wallasea Island may be flooded. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Calcton of 2.87mAODN at 1:30pm, on Monday 28th September, which is 0.21m above tide tables, Wind Force 3, North Easterly.
