A Flood Alert was issued for River Bollin catchment, including Knutsford, Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Bollington in Cheshire East, Manchester, Stockport, Trafford, Warrington on 3rd September 2026. Affected watercourses included the River Bollin.

Rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the morning of 04 September 2026 . Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads around the Rivers Bollin, Dean and Pedley, Birkin and Mobberley Brooks and their tributaries river levels are expected to increase peaking at 10am. Flood Warnings are not currently expected to be issued. We are closely monitoring the situation . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 04 September 2026 or as the situation changes.
