Rising river levels today may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 12 March 2026 .  Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near river Eden and tributaries from Temple Sowerby to the confluence with the River Irthing at Warwick Bridge including Langwathby, Lazonby, Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Wetheral and Warwick on Eden.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 13 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
