The catchment
Low relief catchment, rural west, urbanised south and east. Geology: predominantly Keuper Marl in west, with Permian and Triassic sandstones in east. Appreciable Boulder Clay in south. Approx 15% of the catchment is urban with other landuse consisting of some mixed farming, light industry and some forestry.
