   Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Saturday evening. 
   Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths.
   
   Areas particularly at risk include Lynmouth, Combe Martin, Hele, Ilfracombe, Lee, Instow, Appledore, Westward Ho!, and Clovelly, Bideford, Barnstaple.
   
   The high tide at Ilfracombe on Saturday 04 April is at 8:26PM, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 4.79mAOD, which is 0.58 metres above tide table level. Strong force 7 south-westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3.6m are forecast over the high tide.
   
   Coastal conditions should ease for Sunday morning's high tide.

    The high tide at Plymouth on Saturday evening is at 20:13, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.56mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.3 and 0.4 metres above tide table level. Strong force 7 South Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3m are forecast over the high tide.

    Higher than normal tides over the next three days may lead to flooding. 
    Flooding is possible two hours either side of high tide times, from Thursday 2nd April through to Saturday. 
    Areas particularly at risk include low-lying land, roads and carparks, particularly at Little Petherick.
    
    The high tide at Padstow on Thursday is at 18:40, and on Friday at 06:55 and 19:12. Times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level for Thursday is 4.46mAOD and Friday morning at 4.58mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.8 and 1.2 metres above tide table level. Force 4 –5 W-SW winds and offshore wave heights of up to 3m are forecast over the high tides.

    High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible to low lying land, roads and properties with basements around the following areas: Petham Bourne, Alkham bourne and Nailbourne including Alkham, Temple Ewell, Elham, Barham, Bishopsbourne, Bridge, Patrixbourne and Bekesbourne. Groundwater levels in East Kent rose significantly following significant rainfall during January and early February. The Nailbourne continues to flow. During March, weather conditions became noticeably drier and groundwater levels are now generally falling. We are monitoring the situation and continue to liaise closely with our partners who have also been responding. Please avoid walking or driving through flood water and keep up to date with groundwater levels on the 'Check for Flooding' site on gov.uk.     We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Putney Embankment (SW15), Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green (W4), Thames Bank at Mortlake (SW14), Ranelagh Drive (TW1), Friars Lane and Water Lane (TW9), Riverside and The Embankment at Twickenham, and the Towpath below Teddington Lock. Flooding of properties is not expected.
    
    Astronomical tide levels are rising. The river flow at Teddington Weir is 55 cubic metres per second and is steady. We anticipate the flows to remain steady for the next few days.

    Groundwater levels are high but slowly falling. At the borehole in Clanville, the level has fallen by 23cm in the last week. Cellar flooding is expected to be ongoing in Appleshaw, Hatherden and possibly Penton Grafton. Sewerage system impacts are expected be occurring in Appleshaw and Penton Mewsey. In Penton Grafton, the main road is flooded. Only very small amounts of rain are forecast from Wednesday 01/04/2026 to Sunday 05/04/2026. Groundwater levels will continue to slowly fall this week. If the weather forecast next week is favourable, this Flood Alert may be removed. We are closely monitoring the situation.     Groundwater is high, very close to the surface, but now falling. Springs will continue to appear, water will be in fields, and groundwater will affect the ability of the sewage network to operate in East Dean, Charlton, Singleton and West Dean. Small amounts of water may still flow down roads, and intermittently appear in a few basements. Predominantly fine weather is forecast through the first half of the week, with a small amount of rain forecast on Thursday and Friday 3/4/2026. Groundwater at both Chilgrove and East Dean boreholes is expected to continue to fall. It is probable that groundwater will continue to fall throughout the remainder of spring and whole of summer, although the sewage network may continue to be affected by groundwater until mid April. Take care on roads that flood (Chilgrove, West Dean, Singleton, East Dean). Ensure pumps work. We will update this message by 18:00 on 3/4/2026.
