   High river levels are expected to continue to cause flooding on 27th February 2026. River levels remain high following recent rainfall. The Whittlesey Wash flood storage reservoir is being operated to protect nearby communities from flooding. Levels in the flood storage reservoir remain high and there is continued flooding of the B1040 road. Whilst the Flood Warning is in force, the Local Authority may close the B1040 for safety reasons. Diversionary routes will be put in place and further updates will be available through local media. We are closely monitoring the situation. Refer to the local authority website for road closures.     River levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Flooding is expected on the Hundred Foot Washes for the next few days. This information is correct as of 7:30am Friday 27th February 2026. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approximately 1cm of water on the road. The causeway at Welney has up to 10cm of water on the road. Flood water is receding from the causeway at Earith. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. The Environment Agency are liaising with Norfolk Highways who will decide whether to close the Welney road. For more information about the causeway at Welney, please visit the 'Welney Flood Watch' Facebook group. The content of this group does not represent the views of the Environment Agency.     High river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible today, Thursday 26th February 2026. Showers expected overnight into Friday that will keep levels elevated. Locations most affected will be the Upper Derwent and Scarborough areas, including land around the Sea Cut at Scalby, Throxenby Beck, Old Malton, Priorpot Beck in Norton and areas in the Vale of Pickering. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water, and avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.     High river levels overnight may lead to flooding.
    Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (7 - 17mm).
    River levels in the Itchen around Winchester are falling steadily but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect North Walls Recreation Ground and River Park. Winchester City Council have installed flood barriers at River Park, and Water Lane. Barriers have been removed at Park Avenue as the situation is improving. Flood risk should start to diminish from Friday afternoon.
    We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with Winchester City Council regarding sluice operation.
    Don't put yourself or others at risk . Flood water could be deep. Winnall Moors Nature Reserve may be closed.

    High river levels overnight may lead to flooding.
    Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (7-17mm).
    River levels at Sandown are steadily falling but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect low lying land, roads, cycle tracks and footpaths close to the river. At Langbridge and Alverstone, the river will be close to bank full. If thresholds at Sandown will be reached, flooding of Golf Links Road and Moreton Common Road may occur from early morning on Friday 27/02/2026. Ditches around Fort Holiday Park will struggle to drain while river levels are high. Flood risk should begin to reduce over the weekend.
    We are checking rivers for blockages and operating Bembridge sluices.
    Consider activating any flood protection products you may have , including in Alverstone.

    Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as rain is forecast (7 to 17mm).
    Levels in the Meon are falling steadily but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect roads through East Meon, West Meon including Lynch Lane, Shoe Lane and Church Lane, Exton and Bucks Head Hill at Meonstoke. The river may flood gardens and the Millennium Water Meadows at Wickham. Flood risk should start to diminish over the weekend.
    We are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
    Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Particularly properties close to the river or with pumps for groundwater.

    Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river. The main areas of concern are Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Bovey Tracey, Kingskerswell, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
    
    We expect the river to remain high throughout the day though no flooding to properties is currently forecast.

    Heavy rain is expected from 4pm onwards and forecast river levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river from this evening and overnight. The main areas of concern are Ivybridge, South Brent, Ermington, Avonwick, Averton Giffard, Kingsbridge, Harbertonford and Dartmouth.
    
    We expect the river to remain high throughout the nigh. No flooding to properties is currently forecast. 
    We are closely monitoring the situation .
