Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening.  Flooding is expected on 24 March 2026 .  The rain will continue into this evening before it will clear Cumbria from midnight. Due to some uncertainty, the intensity of the rainfall, rising flood levels and being in contact with Wigtan Flood group we're issuing the Flood Warning as a precautionary measure. Locations most affected will be properties in Burnfoot including the School, Church, Convent, Strand Terrace, Accrington Terrace, Eastley Terrace and Printfield.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid using low lying
