Lake and River levels remain high due to recent rainfall. Levels have peaked and are expected to fall slowly thoughout the day. This Flood Warning is expected to remain in force until this evening. This morning will be cloudy with a few light shows, drier this afternoon so we expect levels to continue to fall throughout the day. Locations most affected will be around the shores of Derwent Water Lake. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 01 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
