High groundwater levels are causing flooding. Groundwater levels in the Salisbury Plain area are beginning to fall but remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Tilshead, Orcheston, Shrewton, Berwick St James and Stapleford. The groundwater level at the Tilshead borehole is at 97.32m, and is expected to fall slowly. The forecast is for some rainfall in the next few days which may cause some response in groundwater fed rivers.
