High groundwater levels are cause flooding. Groundwater levels in Salisbury Plain are beginning to fall but remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Tilshead, Orcheston, Shrewton and Berwick St James. The groundwater level at the Tilshead borehole is at 97.83m, and is expected to slowly fall. The forecast is for some rainfall in the next few days which may cause some response in groundwater fed rivers.
