A Flood Warning was issued for Groundwater flooding for the Bere Stream at Bere Regis in Dorset Council on 25th February 2026. Affected watercourses included the Groundwater.
During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The Groundwater Level at Ridge Way rose 1.61m, peaking at 83.79m, while the Groundwater Level at Bank Barrow climbed 1.56m.

High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. Groundwater levels in West Dorset have peaked and are falling slowly, but remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Bere Regis. The groundwater level at Delcombe Wood borehole is currently 141.76m, and is expected to remain high. We have had a few days of drier weather, but further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise once again into the weekend.
