Flooding is expected as a result of high groundwater levels. Groundwater levels in West Dorset are high. Areas that could be affected include: Milton Abbas and Milborne St. Andrew. The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole is currently 139.09m, the level is starting to fall but remains reactive to further rainfall. The forecast is for dry weather and possible showers over the weekend. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed.
