River levels in the Itchen around Winchester are falling steadily but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect North Walls Recreation Ground and River Park. Winchester City Council have installed flood barriers at River Park, and Water Lane.
