During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Eden at Great Musgrave Bridge rose 1.65m, peaking at 1.89m, while the River Greta at Rutherford Bridge climbed 1.05m.

High river levels throughout the evening may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 24 March 2026 from 5:30PM. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. River levels are expected to fall overnight. The flood gates at Croft-on-Tees are expected to remain open, unless the situation changes. We are closely monitoring the situation .
