During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Greta at Keswick Campsite rose 0.95m, peaking at 1.77m, while the River Glenderamackin at Threlkeld climbed 0.88m.

Lake and River levels remain high after recent rainfall. Today is expected to be dry, bright and chilly in the morning with sunshine in the afternoon. We expect levels to fall throughout the day and this flood alert may be removed later today. Locations most affected will be around the shores of Derwent Water Lake. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 04 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
