Environment Agency advice issued

Floodwater is reducing but a considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. The low-lying roads and land adjacent to the River Yeo are still affected. We are utilising the Parrett Relief Channel to manage levels in the River Parrett and operating as many pumps as possible as river and water levels on the moors allow. Sunday and Monday begin largely grey and drizzly but brighten, clearing slowly throughout the day. Tuesday night sees a frontal band of rain and a return to unsettled rain and showers across the area, from the west. We are closely monitoring the situation,
