A Flood Alert was issued for River Yeo and Parrett, The Levels in Somerset between 25th February 2026 and 14th March 2026. Affected watercourses included the River Yeo, River Parrett, Kings Sedgemoor Drain, River Sowy.

During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Parrett at West Sedgemoor Pumping Station rose 5.15m, peaking at 7.65m, while the River Parrett at Dunball Tidal climbed 3.93m.

Environment Agency advice issued

High river levels today may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 14 March 2026 .  Floodwater is reducing but a considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is still affecting the low-lying Muchelney and West Sedgemoor moors near the Rivers Yeo and Parrett. We will run the pumps at Huish Episcopi and West Sedgemoor pumping stations when river levels allow. A dry day is forecast for Saturday and some isolated showers on Sunday and Monday.  We are closely monitoring the situation and our Field Teams continue to operate structures and pumps..  Take care and
