A Flood Alert was issued for River Wylye and tributaries in Wiltshire between 25th February 2026 and 2nd March 2026. Affected watercourses included the Wylye.
During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The Groundwater Level at Oakley Industrial Estate rose 2.65m, peaking at 96.12m, while the Groundwater Level at The Terraces Fonthill climbed 1.88m.

This is a flood alert update. River levels remain high due to high groundwater levels. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wylye, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Norton Ferris and Wilton. The forecast is for dry weather over the next few days. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water.
