High river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible today, Thursday 26th February 2026. Rainfall is expected over the coming days that will keep levels in the area elevated. Locations most affected include local roads and low-lying land around Stamford Bridge, Pocklington, Wressle, Wilberfoss and Elvington. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
