High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding of low-lying areas and roads is possible. Groundwater levels are now at the point that properties may be impacted. Groundwater levels have stabilised at our Hodcot borehole affecting West Ilsley, East Ilsley, Compton, Chilton and West Hagbourne. The groundwater level is higher than normal for this time of year. We expect levels to stay high for some time before a slow decline. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. Residents are advised to consider property resilience measures
