A Flood Alert was issued for Groundwater flooding in villages surrounding Andover in Hampshire, Wiltshire on 1st April 2026. Affected watercourses included the Groundwater.
During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The Groundwater Level at Homington rose 0.35m, peaking at 62.82m, while the Groundwater Level at Clarendon climbed 0.26m.

Groundwater levels are high but slowly falling. At the borehole in Clanville, the level has fallen by 23cm in the last week. Cellar flooding is expected to be ongoing in Appleshaw, Hatherden and possibly Penton Grafton. Sewerage system impacts are expected be occurring in Appleshaw and Penton Mewsey. In Penton Grafton, the main road is flooded. Only very small amounts of rain are forecast from Wednesday 01/04/2026 to Sunday 05/04/2026. Groundwater levels will continue to slowly fall this week.
