During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The Groundwater Level at Ridge Way rose 0.80m, peaking at 68.40m, while the Groundwater Level at Badbury Rings climbed 0.56m.

A Groundwater Flood Alert remains in place for the West of Dorset. Levels are still slowly dropping but remain high and are over the Flood Alert thresholds. The Groundwater level at Kingston Russell was 114.28 metres earlier this morning, 6th April 2026, and property flooding is possible when it goes above 116.00 metres. Flooding of fields and roads is still possible. Groundwater levels remain responsive to further rainfall. Where groundwater is near the surface, intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding.
