During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The Petersfield Stream at Borough Grove rose 0.06m, peaking at 59.15m, while the River Hamble at North Pond climbed 0.05m.

Groundwater levels in the Meon Valley are high but slowly falling. At the borehole at Pound Lane, Meonstoke, the level has fallen by 83cm in the last week. Water is expected to be flowing across Rectory Lane, affecting the electricity sub-station, and behind the Buck's Head pub in Meonstoke. Mostly dry weather is forecast from Tuesday 03/03/2026 to Saturday 07/03/2026. Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling across the next week. If dry weather continues to be forecast, this Flood Alert will be removed next week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised
