Continued high groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding of low-lying areas and roads is possible. Groundwater levels are high but gradually falling at our Northfield Farm borehole in the Great Shefford area. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling slowly over the coming week following drier conditions over recent weeks. Due to the nature of groundwater, flooding could continue for several weeks or longer. We are closely monitoring rainfall and groundwater levels.
