During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Adur at Beeding Bridge rose 0.84m, peaking at 1.60m, while the River Ouse at Barcombe climbed 0.29m.

Groundwater is high, close to the surface, but slowly falling again at Ladies Mile borehole. A small amount of water could still be appearing in a few basements, although likely to be infrequently now. Previous events suggest impacts may initially affect Old London Road, Patcham and Peacock Lane, Withdean. Only small amounts of rain are forecast over the five days to 03/03/2026, and it is probable that groundwater at Ladies Mile borehole will continue to slowly fall over the coming week. There is a suggestion that high pressure, settled conditions, and only small amounts of rain could continue
