High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible , though little rain (7mm) has fallen in the last week. In the last week, the level at the borehole in Oakley has risen by 26cm. Flooding is affecting the ability of septic tanks to operate effectively. The River Test will be flowing in Deane and Ashe. From Wednesday 04/03/2026 to Sunday 08/03/2026, mostly dry weather is forecast. Groundwater levels in Deane and Ashe are expected to stabilise within the next week.
