A Flood Alert was issued for Groundwater flooding in Bramdean and Cheriton in Hampshire on 2nd March 2026. Affected watercourses included the Groundwater.
Local monitoring gauges did not record a significant level change for this event, which may indicate a precautionary or rainfall-forecast-based alert.

Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton are high but relatively stable. Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Groundwater is very close to the level that cellar flooding in Bramdean, as well as road flooding in both villages, is expected. Mostly dry weather is forecast from Monday 02/03/2026 to Friday 06/03/2026. Groundwater levels will slowly fall throughout this week. We are closely monitoring the situation.
