During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Kent at Sedgwick rose 0.35m, peaking at 0.86m, while the Dragley Beck at Fitz Bridge climbed 0.29m.

High tides today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 12:15 to 14:15 on 19/04/2026 Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths along the coast at North Morecambe Bay from Roosebeck to Carnforth including low lying areas around Ulverston, Greenodd, Haverthwaite, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, Levens, Milnthorpe, Sandside, Arnside and Silverdale. We are not expecting any further flood alerts for this spring tide cycle. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
