   High river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible tomorrow, Thursday 26th February 2026. Rainfall is expected over the coming days that will keep levels elevated. Locations most affected will be the Upper Derwent and Scarborough areas, including land around the Sea Cut at Scalby, Throxenby Beck, Old Malton, Priorpot Beck in Norton and areas in the Vale of Pickering. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water, and avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.    River levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Flooding is expected on the Hundred Foot Washes for several days. This information is correct as of 4:00pm Wednesday 25th February 2026. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approx 25cm of water on the road. The causeway at Welney has up to 40cm of water on the road. Flood water is receding from the causeway at Earith. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. The Environment Agency are liaising with Norfolk Highways who will decide whether to close the Welney road. For more information about the causeway at Welney, please visit the 'Welney Flood Watch' Facebook group. Please note that the content of this group does not represent the views of the Environment Agency. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. No rainfall is forecast today. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.    River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and the high groundwater. Flooding is expected. The areas of Britford that are most at risk include Lower Road and Church Lane. We have had a few days of drier weather, but further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise once again into the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation . Please continue to use any flood protection products you may have and act on your flood plan if you have one. We have had a few days of drier weather, but further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise once again into the weekend.    Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (10 to 20mm).
   
   River levels in the Itchen around Winchester are falling steadily but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect North Walls Recreation Ground and River Park. Winchester City Council have installed flood barriers at Park Avenue, River Park, and Water Lane. Flood risk should start to diminish over the weekend.
   
   We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with Winchester City Council regarding sluice operation.
   
   Don't put yourself or others at risk. Flood water could be deep. Winnall Moors Nature Reserve may be closed.

   Message

   This Flood Warning remains in place due to heavy rain forecast overnight on Thursday. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.19m and is continuing to fall. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway whilst above 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 6.88m and gradually falling. Cutts Road and New Road remain closed. The Athelney spillway has stopped running and the A361 is open. Road closure information available here www.somerset.gov.uk/roads-travel-and-parking/emergency-road-closure-gates. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor and have additional mobile pumps at both stations. Pumping at Currymoor will continue as river levels allow. Today will be largely dry but from Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday a heavier, organised and windier spell of rain moves in from the West. We are monitoring the situation closely and checking flood banks, spillways and sluices. Please do not drive through flood water.    Forecast high river levels tomorrow evening may lead to flooding.
   
   Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (10 to 20mm).
   
   Levels in the Meon are falling steadily but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect roads through East Meon, West Meon including Lynch Lane, Shoe Lane and Church Lane, Exton and Bucks Head Hill at Meonstoke. The river may flood gardens and the Millennium Water Meadows at Wickham. Flood risk should start to diminish over the weekend.
   
   We are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
   
   Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Particularly properties close to the river, or those with pumps for groundwater.

   Forecast high river levels tomorrow evening may lead to flooding.
   
   Flooding is possible on 27 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (10 to 20 mm).
   
   River levels at Sandown are steadily falling but forecast rain from Thursday evening 26/02/2026 through to Friday morning could increase water levels. Flooding could affect low lying land, roads, cycle tracks and footpaths close to the river. At Langbridge and Alverstone, the river will be close to bank full. If thresholds at Sandown will be reached flooding of Golf Links Road and Moreton Common Road may occur from early morning on Friday 27/02/2026. Ditches around Fort Holiday Park will struggle to drain while river levels are high. Flood risk should begin to reduce over the weekend.
   
   We are checking rivers for blockages and operating Bembridge sluices.
   
   Consider activating any flood protection products you may have, including in Alverstone.

   The River Lavant remains high at Graylingwell following weeks of rain.
   
   Minor flood impacts will continue affecting fields, roads and gardens. Very little rain is forecast Wednesday and Thursday but river levels will not fall far. More rain is forecast on Thursday and Friday (between 10 - 20mm) which may cause minor flooding at Sheepwash Lane, Pook Lane, the Green, and bridges across the river in East Lavant. However, a less likely scenario suggests 30mm of rain could be possible, which may cause isolated property flooding from 03:00 27/02/2026.
   
   We are operating structures in Westhampnett for the Flood Alleviation Scheme.
   
   Don't put yourself or others at risk. Avoid roads that flood (Sheepwash Lane). Report blockages to 0800 80 70 60.

    The Aldingbourne Rife is high following weeks of rain, but slowly falling.
    
    Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads, and land at Riverside Caravan Centre will continue. Very little rain is forecast Wednesday and Thursday, but river levels will not fall far. More rain is forecast on Friday (between 10 - 20mm) which may cause minor flooding to affect Barnham Road and Lake Lane, Barnham. The Aldingbourne Rife could rise 20cm. However, a less likely scenario suggests 30mm of rain could be possible, which may affect the car park at Tesco on Shripney Road from Friday morning. River levels will remain higher than normal for weeks. River levels should again begin to slowly fall by Saturday.
    
    We are clearing debris screens through Barnham. Our pumps at Felpham are running.
    
    Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Avoid roads that flood (Barnham Rd and Lake Lane).

    The River Ems is high following weeks of rain.
    
    Minor flood impacts affecting fields, Brook Meadows, rural roads, and gardens will continue. Very little rain is forecast Wednesday and Thursday but river levels will not fall far. More rain is forecast on Friday (between 10 - 20mm). River levels will rise 10cm, and more garden flooding is likely Friday morning. However, a less likely scenario suggests 30mm of rain could be possible, which may cause isolated property flooding from 03:00 27/02/2026. River levels will remain higher than normal for weeks. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February, and therefore further periods of flood risk are possible.
    
    We are closely monitoring the situation, operating our structure at Constant Springs, and clearing debris screens.
    
    Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Westbourne and Emsworth, flooding may occur quickly.

    Flooding is possible . Mostly light rain (19mm) has fallen in the last week. 
    Cellar flooding is expected to be occurring in Appleshaw and Hatherden. Flooding is affecting the sewer network at Penton Mewsey and the main road at Penton Grafton. From Saturday 28/02/2026, cellar flooding in Penton Grafton will occur, as well as sewerage system issues in Appleshaw. Groundwater will begin to emerge into Deacon and Down Road, Kimpton. From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Sunday 01/03/2026, further rain (between 15 and 35mm) is forecast in Hampshire. Groundwater levels will continue rising into next week. Cellar flooding in Kimpton and road flooding in Thruxton, could occur next week. 
    We are closely monitoring the situation . 
    Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed . Please remove any valuables stored in cellars.

From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Sunday 01/03/2026, further rain (between 15 and 35mm) is forecast to affect Hampshire. If heavy rain affects the area, groundwater levels will continue rising through much of March 2026. If levels continue to rise at their current rate, cellar flooding in Deane could begin next week.

    Considerable water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is forecast to affect locations and moors near the River Yeo, River Parrett, Kings Sedgemoor Drain and River Sowy, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected particularly around the road at the south end of Westover Trading Estate. There is a risk of flooding to properties at Westover Trading Estate at Langport. Pumping resumes at Westover pumping station and we are using the Parrett Relief Channel as river levels and water levels on the moors allow. Temporary pumps operate at Dunball during high tide when water cannot gravitate into the River Parrett. Today will be largely dry but from Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday a heavier, organised and windier spell of rain moves in from the West. We are closely monitoring the situation and Field Teams are out clearing debris screens and checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.     High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. Groundwater levels in Cranborne Chase are falling slowly, but remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Sixpenny Handley. The groundwater level at West Woodyates borehole is currently at 104.52m, and is expected to remain high. We have had a few days of drier weather, but further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise once again into the weekend. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Properties may experience flooding in cellars in affected areas. Flooding of roads is expected, take particular care when driving. We are closely monitoring the situation. The Whittlesey Wash flood storage reservoir is being operated to protect nearby communities from flooding. Levels in the flood storage reservoir remain high and there is continued flooding of the B1040 road. Whilst the Flood Warning is in force, the Local Authority may close the B1040 for safety reasons.
