   Considerable water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors but river levels are slowly falling. Upstream catchments are saturated. As such, the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk include locations near the River Yeo and River Parrett, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the A37 south and A303 south west of Ilchester, the Ilchester to Limington road, and the road to Ilchester Meads. There is also a risk of flooding at Hainbury Mill, Ilchester.
   
   Thursday morning will be largely dry. However wet and windy weather is forecast during the evening and overnight into Friday morning. Further rain and showers are forecast for the weekend.

    River levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Flooding is expected on the Hundred Foot Washes for several days. This information is correct as of 7:30am Thursday 26th February 2026. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approximately 17cm of water on the road. The causeway at Welney has up to 26cm of water on the road. Flood water is receding from the causeway at Earith. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. The Environment Agency are liaising with Norfolk Highways who will decide whether to close the Welney road. For more information about the causeway at Welney, please visit the 'Welney Flood Watch' Facebook group. The content of this group does not represent the views of the Environment Agency.
