   High river levels on the River Coln may cause flooding.
   
   River levels are high but falling slowly on the River Coln. Flooding of property and roads remains possible, especially nearest the River Coln in the Fossebridge and Coln St Dennis areas. The forecast is for some rain overnight tonight, 26 February 2026 and further rain tomorrow and into the weekend. River levels are expected to remain high and sensitve to any further rain over the coming days.

The groundwater level is higher than normal for this time of year at this location and is continuing to rise. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.

    Flooding is possible . Little rain (10mm) has been recorded in the last week. 
    The rate at which groundwater levels are rising in Denmead has started to slow. Water is flowing into the road and could affect the sewage network in operating as efficiently. From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Monday 02/03/2026, only small amounts of rain are expected in Hampshire. Groundwater levels in Denmead will begin to stabilise during the next week.

    River levels remain high in response to recent rainfall. Flooding is expected on the Hundred Foot Washes for the next few days. This information is correct as of 3:30pm Thursday 26th February 2026. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approx 10cm of water on the road. The causeway at Welney has up to 21cm of water on the road. Flood water is receding from the causeway at Earith. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. The Environment Agency are liaising with Norfolk Highways who will decide whether to close the Welney road. For more information about the causeway at Welney, please visit the 'Welney Flood Watch' Facebook group. The content of this group does not represent the views of the Environment Agency. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages. Some light rainfall is forecast for this evening and throughout Friday.     Flooding is possible . Very little rain (9mm) has fallen in the last week. 
    Groundwater levels in Hambledon remain relatively stable. Currently, widespread cellar flooding is expected. Groundwater is infiltrating sewers and causing issues with overflowing manholes. Fareham Road is closed, and water is flowing onto the road on the north side of East Street. From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Monday 02/03/2026, only small amounts of rain are expected in Hampshire. Groundwater levels in Hambledon are expected to begin slowly falling during the weekend. Flooding impacts are expected to decrease over the next week. 
    We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with Hambledon Flood Action Group. 
    Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .

    The River Lavant remains high at Graylingwell following weeks of rain.
    
    Minor flood impacts will continue affecting fields, roads and gardens. Very little rain is forecast on Thursday but river levels will not fall far. More rain is forecast on Friday from 00:00 to 06:00 (5-10mm). River levels could rise a small amount, but only minimal flood impacts are expected. However, a less likely scenario suggests 20mm of rain could be possible, which may cause minor flooding at Sheepwash Lane, Pook Lane, the Green, and bridges across the river in East Lavant.
    
    We are operating structures in Westhampnett for the Flood Alleviation Scheme.

    The Aldingbourne Rife is high following weeks of rain, but slowly falling.
    
    Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads, and land at Riverside Caravan Centre will continue. Very little rain is forecast on Thursday but river levels will not fall far. More rain is forecast on Friday from 00:00 to 06:00 (5-10mm). River levels could rise a small amount, but only minimal flood impacts are expected. However, a less likely scenario suggests 20mm of rain could be possible, which may cause minor flooding to affect Barnham Road and Lake Lane, Barnham from Friday morning. The Aldingbourne Rife could rise 10cm. River levels will remain higher than normal for weeks. River levels should again begin to slowly fall by Saturday.
    
    We are clearing debris screens through Barnham. Our pumps at Felpham are running.
    
    Consider activating any flood protection products you may have.

Unsettled weather could continue throughout February, and therefore further periods of flood risk are possible.

    The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.14m and is continuing to fall. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway whilst above 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is currently 6.76m and falling though still high from past rainfall. Cutts Road and New Road remain closed. Athelney spillway has stopped running and the A361 is open. For the latest levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor and have additional mobile pumps at both stations. Pumping at Currymoor will continue as river levels allow. Thursday morning will be largely dry. However wet and windy weather is forecast during the evening and overnight into Friday morning. Further rain and showers are forecast for the weekend.     High river levels are expected to continue to cause flooding on 26th February 2026. River levels remain high following recent rainfall. The Whittlesey Wash flood storage reservoir is being operated to protect nearby communities from flooding. Levels in the flood storage reservoir remain high and there is continued flooding of the B1040 road. Whilst the Flood Warning is in force, the Local Authority may close the B1040 for safety reasons.     The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.14m and falling. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway whilst above 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is currently 6.76m and falling. Cutts Road and New Road remain closed. The Athelney spillway has stopped running and the A361 is open.     The River Yeo level at Huish Episcopi is 8.02m and falling slowly. The drain level at Huish Episcopi Pumping Station is 8.20m and also falling slowly.
    
    Property flooding is possible above 8.35m. Flooding affects the Langport to Muchelney road when this drain level exceeds 7.3m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Muchelney to Thorney road above 7.93m and the Muchelney to Drayton road above 8.8m.     A considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is still affecting the low-lying moors near the River Yeo, River Parrett, Kings Sedgemoor Drain and River Sowy.
    We are using the Parrett Relief Channel as river levels and water levels on the moors allow. Pumping stations are operating around Langport and temporary pumps over-pump at Dunball sluices during high tide when water cannot gravitate into the River Parrett.
    Thursday morning is largely dry. However wet and windy weather is forecast during the evening and overnight into Friday morning. Further rain and showers are forecast for the weekend.
    We are closely monitoring the weather and flooding situation. Our Field Teams are operating structures, pumps and clearing debris screens.
    Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Don’t put yourself or others at risk.
