    High river levels over the next 2 days may lead to flooding. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Ingleby, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, the B5008 at Willington, the access frontage at Swarkestone, the A5132 between Willington and Barrow, and Meadow Lane, Bargate Lane, and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Light rainfall is forecast over the weekend.     High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
    Flooding is expected on 14 March 2026; however, river levels have now peaked and are slowly falling. No significant rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours.
    Locations most affected will be properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through York from Lendall Bridge to Millennium Bridge.

    High river levels today may lead to flooding. 
    Flooding is possible on 14 March 2026 . 
    Floodwater is reducing but a considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is still affecting the low-lying Muchelney and West Sedgemoor moors near the Rivers Yeo and Parrett. We will run the pumps at Huish Episcopi and West Sedgemoor pumping stations when river levels allow. A dry day is forecast for Saturday and some isolated showers on Sunday and Monday. 
    We are closely monitoring the situation and our Field Teams continue to operate structures and pumps..

    The River Yeo level at Huish Episcopi is 8.09m and is slowly falling. The drain level at Huish Episcopi is 7.12m and is falling. Flooding may still be affecting the Langport to Muchelney road but the Muchelney to Long Load road, the Muchelney to Thorney road and the Muchelney to Drayton road remain unaffected. No property flooding is expected. For the latest river and drain levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels. We continue to operate the pumps at Huish Episcopi and West Sedgemoor pumping stations when river levels allow. A dry day is forecast for Saturday and some isolated showers on Sunday and Monday. Flood alert

Flooding is possible. Be prepared. Keep an eye on local river levels and forecasts, and get ready to move valuables and put flood protection in place.

Flood warning

Flooding is expected. Immediate action required. Move family, pets and valuables to safety, turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to, and put flood protection in place.

Severe flood warning

Severe flooding. Danger to life. Stay in a safe place with a means of escape, and follow the advice of the emergency services. Call 999 if you are in immediate danger.

The history is the Environment Agency’s record of every warning raised since 2006, which it publishes each quarter, joined to the warnings we have recorded live since. Each count is one warning or alert raised for one area; a warning that was later updated counts once. When a warning is removed that is not counted as a new warning.
