Areas that could be affected include: Tarrant Gunville, Tarrant Hinton, Tarrant Monkton, Tarrant Rawston, Tarrant Launceston and Stubhampton. The groundwater level at the Rushmore borehole is at 133.27m. Further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise again into the weekend. High groundwater levels will also increase the impacts of any fluvial flooding. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Properties may experience flooding in cellars in affected areas. Flooding of roads is expected. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. We have had a few days of drier weather, but further rainfall is forecast starting tomorrow, Thursday 26 February, which may cause levels to rise once again into the weekend. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Flood warning

Flooding is expected. Immediate action required. Move family, pets and valuables to safety, turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to, and put flood protection in place.

Severe flood warning

Severe flooding. Danger to life. Stay in a safe place with a means of escape, and follow the advice of the emergency services. Call 999 if you are in immediate danger.

The history is the Environment Agency’s record of every warning raised since 2006, which it publishes each quarter, joined to the warnings we have recorded live since. Each count is one warning or alert raised for one area; a warning that was later updated counts once. When a warning is removed that is not counted as a new warning.
