River Yeo and Parrett, Yeovilton to Huish Episcopi SomersetRiver Yeo, River Parrett
Message
Considerable water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors but river levels are slowly falling. Upstream catchments are saturated. As such, the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk include locations near the River Yeo and River Parrett, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the A37 south and A303 south west of Ilchester, the Ilchester to Limington road, and the road to Ilchester Meads. There is also a risk of flooding at Hainbury Mill, Ilchester..
Today will be largely dry and we’re maximising pumping opportunities. But from Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday a heavier, organised and windier spell of rain moves in from the West.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Don’t put yourself or others at risk. This message will be updated by 1PM on 26th February 2026 or as the situation changes.
