   Floodwater is reducing but a considerable amount of water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is still affecting the low-lying Muchelney and West Sedgemoor moors near the Rivers Yeo and Parrett. We will run the pumps at Huish Episcopi and West Sedgemoor pumping stations when river levels allow. A dry day is forecast for Saturday and some isolated showers on Sunday and Monday. 
   We are closely monitoring the situation and our Field Teams continue to operate structures and pumps..

   Tuesday forecast is for rain and drizzle in places as a front arrives from the west. Overnight into Wednesday morning forecast is for moderate rain that clears eastward across the area.

    Thursday morning is largely dry. However wet and windy weather is forecast during the evening and overnight into Friday morning. Further rain and showers are forecast for the weekend.

    Message

    Considerable water remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Flooding is forecast to affect locations and moors near the River Yeo, River Parrett, Kings Sedgemoor Drain and River Sowy, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected particularly around the road at the south end of Westover Trading Estate. There is a risk of flooding to properties at Westover Trading Estate at Langport. Pumping resumes at Westover pumping station and we are using the Parrett Relief Channel as river levels and water levels on the moors allow. Temporary pumps operate at Dunball during high tide when water cannot gravitate into the River Parrett. Today will be largely dry but from Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday a heavier, organised and windier spell of rain moves in from the West. We are closely monitoring the situation and Field Teams are out clearing debris screens and checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
