Areas most at risk are around Hunstanton seafront. Flood gates in the area will be closed by the Local Authority which will make access difficult. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at King's Lynn of 4.67mAODN at 08:15am on 13 September, Wind Force 3, Westerly. The current series of high spring tides has now reached its peak and will fall away over the next few days.

Flooding is possible from 7:30PM to 9:30PM on 11/09, from 08:00am to 10:00am and from 08:00PM to 10:00PM on 12/09.

Areas most at risk include the tidal River Avon from Sea Mills to Conham in Bristol and between the Avonmouth Bridge and Shirehampton Park including Pill and Shirehampton. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Avonmouth Portbury. The first forecast high water of 7.42 mAODN is at 8:30PM 11/09, which is 0.14 m above tide tables, with Westerly force 4 winds. The second forecast high water is at 09:00AM 12/09 with a level of 7.4 mAODN with South-Westerly force 5 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)

Flooding is possible Around high tide

We are entering a sequence of Spring tides that may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible around 06:45 on Friday 11th September. Flooding is forecast to affect locations at Porlock Bay, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the coastline between Gore Point and Hurlstone Point including Porlock Weir. The first high tide is at 06:45 on Friday with a peak height of 6.12m and a F4 north westerly wind. The second high tide is at 19:00 on Friday with a peak height of 6.37m and a F4 westerly wind

Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton are high but slowly falling. The level at the borehole in Cheriton has fallen by 24cm in the last week. Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. From Monday 23/03/2026 to Friday 27/03/2026, only very small amounts of rain are forecast. Groundwater levels will continue to fall but flooding impacts in Cheriton will continue into early April. We are closely monitoring the situation. Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton remain high but slowly falling. At the borehole at Cheriton Wood, the level has fallen by 19cm in the last week. Flooding could affect cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Septic tanks will struggle to operate effectively. Dry weather is forecast from Monday 16/03/2026 to Friday 20/03/2026. Groundwater levels will continue slowly falling over the next week. Flooding impacts will continue to affect Cheriton throughout March. We are closely monitoring the situation. Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton are high but slowly falling. Flooding is affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Septic tanks will be struggling to operate effectively. Only a small amount of rain (between 10 and 20mm) is forecast to affect Hampshire between Monday 09/03/2026 and Friday 13/03/2026. Over the weekend and into next week, further unsettled weather is possible. Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton will continue falling this week, but could rise during the second half of March if further heavy rain affects the area. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton are high but relatively stable.

Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Groundwater is very close to the level that cellar flooding in Bramdean, as well as road flooding in both villages, is expected. Mostly dry weather is forecast from Monday 02/03/2026 to Friday 06/03/2026. Groundwater levels will slowly fall throughout this week.

Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed.

Flooding is possible . Mostly light rain (22mm) has fallen in the last week.
Groundwater levels are slowly rising. Flooding is affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Septic tanks will be struggling to operate effectively. In Bramdean, properties could be affected by cellar flooding from Thursday 26/02/2026. From Monday 23/02/2026 to Wednesday 25/02/2026, dry weather is expected. From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Friday 27/02/2026, further rain (between 15 and 25mm) is forecast in Hampshire. Groundwater levels are expected to continue rising into March 2026. Increased road and cellar flooding in both villages is expected within the next week.

Each count is one warning or alert raised for one area; a warning that was later updated counts once. When a warning is removed that is not counted as a new warning. An area with no warnings on record can still flood.
