    Flooding is possible on 28 August 2026 . 
    Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Tame between Horseley Heath and Castle Vale and the Ford Brook between Walsall and Bescot. This flood alert has been issued as heavy rain and thunderstorms have been forecast for this area. There is uncertainty however, over the amount of rainfall expected and their exact location. 
    We are closely monitoring the situation .

Flood warning

Flooding is expected. Immediate action required. Move family, pets and valuables to safety, turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to, and put flood protection in place.

Severe flood warning

Severe flooding. Danger to life. Stay in a safe place with a means of escape, and follow the advice of the emergency services. Call 999 if you are in immediate danger.

The history is the Environment Agency’s record of every warning raised since 2006, which it publishes each quarter, joined to the warnings we have recorded live since. Each count is one warning or alert raised for one area; a warning that was later updated counts once. When a warning is removed that is not counted as a new warning. An area with no warnings on record can still flood.
