Continued high groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding of low-lying areas and roads is possible. Groundwater levels are falling at our Hodcott borehole affecting West Ilsley, East Ilsley, Compton, Chilton and West Hagbourne. Groundwater levels are expected to fall slowly over the coming weeks in response to a period of more settled weather. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.
