A Groundwater Flood Alert remains in place for the West of Dorset. Levels are slowly starting to drop but remain high and are over the Flood Alert thresholds. The Groundwater level at Kingston Russell was 115.47 metres earlier this morning, 30th March 2026, and property flooding is possible when it goes above 116.00 metres. Flooding of fields and roads is still possible. Groundwater levels remain responsive to further rainfall. Where groundwater is near the surface, intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding.
