During this event, FloodRadar monitoring gauges recorded notable rises. The River Stour at Sandwich Quay rose 2.19m, peaking at 2.51m, while the Groundwater Level at Upper Petham Bourne climbed 0.25m.

High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible to low lying land, roads and properties with basements around the following areas: Petham Bourne, Alkham bourne and Nailbourne including Alkham, Temple Ewell, Elham, Barham, Bishopsbourne, Bridge, Patrixbourne and Bekesbourne. Groundwater levels in East Kent rose significantly following significant rainfall during January and early February. The Nailbourne continues to flow.
