The catchment
A predominantly rural catchment on the dip-slope of the Chilterns (Chalk with significant Drift cover); land-use mainly arable and pasture. Part of Redbourn is immediately above the station.

Flat-V weir (4.0m wide).

U/s and d/s level measurements are routinely made. Drowns but d/s reach regularly maintained by dredging to improve modularity.
